On November 3. 2021 ASTRASUN took part in the 10th International Energy and Investment Days in the Novi Sad Fair Hall (Novosadski Sajam). Our aim was to expand the professional partner network.
Serbia has not yet got on the world renewable energy map, but this situation is going to change in a few years. The country has excellent potential to provide a model for the fast and decisive implementation of carbon reduction. The reduction is much needed, because currently just over 20% of the Serbian energy mix comes from renewable sources. However, by 2050, the country wants to increase this proportion to 80%.
The biggest development is expected in solar technology in Serbia, mainly the number of industrial and industrial-scale solar power plants will increase dramatically.
Visitors of the Energy Expo Serbia
ASTRASUN is following with interest the emerging Serbian solar energy market. We see great potential in the sector in Serbia. Over the past year, the government and professional organizations have worked together to lay the foundations for the spread of renewable energy projects. Making faster the energy transition was one of the major themes of the Energy and Investment Days.
The professional meetings were accompanied by an exhibition presenting companies, institutions and municipalities with energy projects. We were happy to see how many people were interested in the program! ASTRASUN’s project managers have initiated collaborative discussions with several participants to make Serbian renewable energy projects part of the company’s regional portfolio.
Astrasun plans to invest into 300 MW solar plant in Serbia within 2024. Offers from local project developers are warmly welcomed.
To reach this goal, ASTRASUN will participate in other professional events. We plan to participate in the 2022 program as an exhibitor!
